Churches must return to discipleship, evangelism, pastor says
Malvern United Methodist Church to celebrate America 250 with community picnic
Food, fellowship, live music and a keynote address will highlight the June 28 community gathering.
Malvern United Methodist Church will host a 250th Anniversary Picnic celebrating America 250 on Sunday, June 28, at the church’s Decker Pavilion.
The community event will take place from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at Malvern United Methodist Church, located at 121 W. Wood St., Malvern.
Organizers said the celebration will include food, music and fellowship as the community gathers to recognize the nation’s 250th anniversary.
“Come join us as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our one nation under God,” organizers stated. “Lots of food, live music and good fellowship will be present.”
The picnic will feature a covered dish meal along with a keynote address by evangelist Aaron Linard beginning at 4 p.m.
A music concert featuring Jonathan White will begin at 4:30 p.m.
The event is open to the community, and organizers encourage area residents to attend the afternoon celebration.
