Nick Howell has been selected as Edison High School’s Teacher of the Month for May
Nick Howell has been selected as Edison High School’s Teacher of the Month for May.
Howell, a lifelong member of the Edison community, lives in Bergholz with his wife, Wendy, who also teaches in the school district. The couple has been married for 19 years and has three children.
A 1998 Edison High School graduate, Howell played four years of baseball and two years of basketball for the Wildcats. After graduation, he attended West Liberty University, where he continued his baseball career with the Hilltoppers.
Howell earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and later received a master’s degree in educational leadership and administration from Salem International University.
He returned to Edison to begin his teaching career and is completing his 21st year as a teacher and 22nd year as a coach. During his career, he has served as an assistant baseball coach and coached both the boys and girls junior high basketball teams.
In his free time, Howell enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and supporting the Cleveland Browns, Atlanta Braves and Michigan Wolverines.
