Clever Quill Bookstore to host free book day
Community members may take used books at no cost during May 30 event
Clever Quill Bookstore will host a Community Free Book Day May 30, offering residents an opportunity to browse and take home used books free of charge.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the bookstore, located at 450 S. Lisbon St., Carrollton.
According to owner Megan Jones, tables of used books will be set up outside on the bookstore porch throughout the day. The books available may include older or worn titles, excess inventory and books no longer being sold through the store.
Community members may take as many books as they would like, with no purchase required.
Jones said any remaining books at the end of the event will either be donated or recycled as the bookstore works to rotate inventory and clear storage space.
The event is open to the public.
