Conotton Valley students help food pantry relocate
The pantry has relocated to the Sherrodsville Lions Club to accommodate a larger selection of items
Members of the Conotton Valley Student Council spent part of their Saturday helping the Hands Across Sherrodsville Food Bank move to a new location.
The pantry previously operated out of the Sherrodsville Wesleyan Church but has relocated to the Sherrodsville Lions Club to accommodate a larger selection of items.
Students began the day with doughnuts before spending several hours moving supplies and organizing them at the new location.
“We know we couldn't have done it without them,” Valerie Gardner wrote on the pantry’s Facebook page. “We are mostly stocked at the moment, which is why we haven't had a monthly request, but we are thankful for your kindness and generosity. We look forward to serving our community from this space.”
