Carroll County dairy princesses promote local industry
Kamryn George crowned princess, London Frase named runner-up
Carroll County Dairy Princess Kamryn George and Dairy Princess Runner-Up London Frase, crowned by the Carroll County Dairy Board, are continuing a year of activities promoting the local dairy industry and educating the community about dairy farming.
Throughout the year, the princesses have participated in local parades, distributed recipe cards and dairy promotion items and attended community events focused on agriculture and nutrition. Among the items handed out during appearances were recipe cards featuring dairy products and cheese-shaped erasers for children.
The pair also visited the Carroll County District Library to read books to children, participated in the baby fair at Carroll Hills and toured Minerva Dairy to learn more about local dairy production.
During the Carroll County Fair, the dairy princesses assist at the Dairy Booth and help promote dairy products and activities throughout fair week. Duties include attending shows, handing out ribbons during the dairy show and distributing promotional materials.
The princesses also spend time walking the fairgrounds speaking with visitors about the dairy industry and the role dairy farming plays in the community.
