Area schools prepare for commencement ceremonies
Graduation ceremonies for area high schools are underway, with several already completed and others scheduled in the coming days
Graduation ceremonies for area high schools are underway, with several already completed and others scheduled in the coming days. Minerva High School held its commencement Thursday, May 14. Brown Local Schools at Malvern and Sandy Valley High School will both hold ceremonies Sunday, May 17, with Malvern’s beginning at 2:15 p.m. in the high school gym and Sandy Valley’s at noon in the stadium.
Carrollton High School will hold commencement Friday, May 22, at 7 p.m. in the CHS gym. Baccalaureate is scheduled for Thursday, May 21, at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. Conotton Valley High School will also conduct its ceremony May 22 at 7 p.m. at the CV Rocket Center.
Southern Local High School will hold its graduation Sunday, May 24, at 2 p.m. in the high school gym, followed by Edison High School’s ceremony Friday, May 29, at 7 p.m. at the Edison Fieldhouse.
The Free Press Standard graduation issue will publish May 29.
