Carroll Electric names Hoffman president and CEO
Hoffman joins Carroll Electric with 20 years of experience in the electric cooperative industry
The Carroll Electric Board of Trustees has announced Kyle Hoffman as its new president and CEO following the retirement of Larry Fenbers May 29.
Hoffman joins Carroll Electric with 20 years of experience in the electric cooperative industry, starting as a lineman at Pioneer Electric Cooperative in Piqua, Ohio. He then served 10 years as manager of Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives’ Central Ohio Lineworkers Training Facility in Mount Gilead, Ohio.
Most recently, he served as chief operations officer at Lorain-Medina Rural Electric Cooperative and North Central Electric Cooperative in Spencer and Attica, Ohio.
“Leading a cooperative in the CEO role has always been a career goal of mine, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to do so,” Hoffman said. “As I step into this role, I do so with a deep sense of responsibility and gratitude to serve the members and communities across our six-county service area,” he added.
“I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to our board of trustees for the trust they have placed in me, and to former CEO Larry Fenbers for his leadership and guidance throughout this transition. Larry’s two decades of service have helped build a strong foundation that positions Carroll Electric for continued success.”
“Kyle’s experience and deep understanding of electric cooperatives make him the ideal candidate to lead Carroll Electric Cooperative into the future,” said Harold Sutton, chair of the Carroll Electric Cooperative Board of Trustees.
“After the great foundation that Larry Fenbers has built, we are confident the cooperative will continue to thrive and serve members with excellence under Kyle’s leadership,” Sutton said.
