Carrollton, Sandy Valley students chosen for Buckeye Boys, Girls State
Buckeye Boys State will be held June 14-21 at Miami University in Oxford. Buckeye Girls State is scheduled for June 7-13 at Bowling Green State University
Delegates from Carrollton and Sandy Valley high schools will attend the 2026 Buckeye Boys State and Buckeye Girls State programs.

Carrollton High School Buckeye Boys State delegates are Dallak Paulette and Aaron Meek, both sponsored by Carrollton American Legion Post 428, and Josh Hossler, sponsored by Dellroy American Legion Post 475.
Carrollton High School Buckeye Girls State delegates are Emma Nicholas, sponsored by Carrollton Post 428, and Berlynn Zimmerman, sponsored by Dellroy Post 475. Alternates are Kali Stutler and Ani Ruggieri, sponsored by another American Legion post, according to Fred Barnett, first vice commander of Carrollton American Legion Post 428.
Sandy Valley High School delegates sponsored by East Sparta American Legion Post 244 are Cloud Olander, Benjamin Gibson, Asher Hughes, Myla Changet, Taylor Soehnlen, Shaila Gaytan, Brianna Wheeler and Jose Ritter.
