Minerva senior earns all-scholastic award
Lynn was honored during the 37th annual awards presentation April 15 at the Ohio Event Center in Columbus
Megan Lynn, a senior at Minerva High School, has received the Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Award, which includes a $2,000 scholarship.
Minerva Superintendent Mark Scott said Lynn was honored during the 37th annual awards presentation April 15 at the Ohio Event Center in Columbus.
“This outstanding recognition from the Ohio Educational Service Center Association celebrates academic achievement, scholarship and leadership, with only one student from each of Ohio’s 88 counties selected for the honor,” Scott said.
Lynn, the daughter of Kristina and Jeremiah Lynn, received the award from Stark County Educational Service Center Superintendent Joe Chaddock and Scott.
At Minerva High School, Lynn has been involved in National Honor Society, Drama Club, Travel Club, International Circle and Students Against Destructive Decisions. She also has been recognized as a top 10% honoree.
Lynn plans to attend Ohio State University this fall to major in criminal justice, with the goal of attending law school.
“We are so proud of your accomplishments, Megan — your future is incredibly bright,” Scott said.
