The Carroll County Arts Center is inviting artists of all mediums to participate in the 2026 A Woman’s Perspective Art Show, titled “What Would Jane Do?” The exhibit will highlight the life and work of conservationist Jane Goodall and her influence on environmental awareness and conservation.

Organizers said the show will focus on Goodall’s work beginning with her early studies of chimpanzees and continuing through her lifelong efforts to promote conservation, wisdom and hope for the future. Artists are encouraged to explore themes such as the energy of youth to bring about change, the power of the human mind, the resilience of nature and the strength of the human spirit.

Entries will be accepted May 7-9 during regular hours at the Carroll County Arts Center, 204 W. Main St., Carrollton. All artwork must be in a form that can be displayed, viewed or heard. The entry fee is $10 per piece, with a limit of two entries. Proceeds will benefit a local conservation organization.

The exhibit will open with a reception May 17 from 1-4 p.m. in the center’s Second Floor Gallery. The event will include awards, light refreshments and music. First-, second- and third-place prizes will be awarded, along with a People’s Choice award.

The exhibit will remain open to the public from May 17 through June 11. Artists who wish to sell their work may do so, with the arts center receiving a 35% commission. Artwork may be picked up June 11 or 12.
