Author speaks to Carrollton Rotary Club
Baker spoke about her love of writing as well as challenges involved in writing, editing, publishing and selling
The Carrollton Rotary Club welcomed author Cathy Baker as guest speaker for its April 28 meeting at the Villa Restaurant.
Baker recently published the novella “Morrow” on Amazon. The fictional story involves two college-age women, Marilyn and Tori, who spend their summer together composing a history of the Morrow family and discover a troubling secret others want to keep hidden, leading to suspense and danger.
Baker also spoke about her love of writing and her first book, “Wrenville,” as well as challenges involved in writing, editing, publishing and selling.
She discussed her blog, “The Introverted Detective,” where she posts book and film reviews, and shared information about her upcoming sequel to “Morrow,” titled “Buried.” She also is working on a science fiction time-travel story with her brother-in-law.
Baker’s books can be purchased on Amazon and are available on Kindle.
Baker is the daughter of Travis and Heather Weyand and the granddaughter of John and Nancy Weyand.
