Four Carroll County offices have moved to the new annex building at 207 Moody Ave. SW while others are preparing to relocate.

The Carroll County Board of Elections, formerly located on the ground level of the Carroll County Courthouse, opened Wednesday, June 17, at its new location on the lower level of the annex building.

Located on the upper level are Carroll County Job and Family Services in Suite 101 and the Carroll County Child Support Enforcement Agency in Suite 109.

Also located in a separate section of Suite 109 on the upper level is the Carroll County Emergency Management Agency, formerly located at 11 E. Main St. The office is open and staffed by Assistant EMA Director Dustin Lucas. EMA Director Tom Cottis is in the process of moving the Emergency Operations Center office to the annex and hopes to complete the move by July 15.

The Carroll County office of Ohio State University Extension, currently located at 540 High St. NW, will move into Suite 133 on the upper level of the annex building in the near future.

The Carroll County Board of Health plans to remain at its current location at 301 Moody Ave. SW.

Vacant buildings

When the moves are completed, two buildings owned by the Carroll County commissioners will be offered for sale.

The former Job and Family Services building at 95 E. Main St. and the Child Support Enforcement Agency building at 55 E. Main St. will be auctioned July 29 at noon. The Emergency Management Agency building at 11 E. Main St., which has structural issues, will be demolished, according to Carroll County Commissioner Robert Wirkner.
