Minerva Chamber to host stargazing night at Great Trail Golf Course

Organizers of this free event hope to feature views of Venus, Jupiter and the moon

The Minerva Area Chamber of Commerce will host a free stargazing night June 17 at Great Trail Golf Course with the hope of featuring views of Venus, Jupiter, the moon and other nighttime attractions.

The Minerva Area Chamber of Commerce will host a free stargazing night Wednesday, June 17, at Great Trail Golf Course.

The event will begin at approximately 9:15 p.m. near the No. 18 green by the clubhouse. Organizers hope to view Venus and Jupiter and will also observe the moon while teaching participants about telescopes and other features of the night sky.

The event is open to all ages. Attendees should drive to the end of the parking lot, turn left and continue to the gravel lot.

Great Trail Golf Course is located at 10154 Great Trail Drive, Minerva. Any cancellations will be posted on the Minerva Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
