Carroll County Republican Party officers remain the same
The Carroll County Republican Central and Executive Committee will remain under the leadership of Chairman Patricia J. Oyer for the next two years
The Carroll County Republican Central and Executive Committee will remain under the leadership of Chairman Patricia J. Oyer for the next two years. Party officers were elected in 2024 to four-year terms.
Oyer, of Kensington, is Carroll County recorder and has served as party chairman since 2024, succeeding Jeff Mangun.
Other current committee officers are Robert Wiley of Carrollton, vice chairman; Kathy Huffman of Sherrodsville, secretary; and Dena Barnett of Mechanicstown, treasurer.
Regular committee meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Carroll County District Library, 70 Second St. NE, Carrollton, unless the date falls on a holiday.
Upcoming events
The first summer outing sponsored by the Carroll County Republican Party will be an America's 250th birthday picnic June 20 beginning at noon at Augusta Community Park in Augusta.
Tickets are $35 each and may be purchased through Lucinda Oyer by calling 330-205-3305. The deadline to purchase tickets is June 15.
The speaker will be Cal Kildow, a graduate student in political science at Liberty University with a background in education, local government and campaign work. He currently serves as the Buckeye field representative for Turning Point Action.
The Republican Party also will operate its annual fair booth under the grandstand during the 2026 Carroll County Fair July 20-26.
The party's annual golf outing is scheduled for Aug. 22 at Carroll Meadows Golf Course, and its annual fall dinner will be held in October.

Tschantz, Mohawk; Todd Aston, Carrollton A; Tiffany Swonger Parker, Carrollton B; Mark W. Walters, Center Township; Patricia Oyer, East Township; Dena C. Barnett, Fox Township; Talinia M. Gongola, Harrison Township B; David Wyatt, Loudon Township; David L. Jones, Monroe Township; Kathleen Huffman, Orange Township; Rebecca Leggett, Perry Township; Kurtis Stanley, Rose Township; Deloris Kean, Union Township; and Robert H. Wiley, Washington Township.
Committee vacancies currently exist in Brown Township A, Brown Township B, Harrison Township A, Lee Township and Leavittsville.
