Paula M. Brown (Witts), 71, of Minerva, passed away peacefully June 4, 2026, surrounded by love after a courageous journey with cancer.

Paula was born and raised in Augusta and was a graduate of Carrollton High School. She spent 23 years working at Biery Cheese before retiring and enjoying some of the happiest years of her life. More than anything else, Paula loved her family. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she treasured every opportunity to support them and be part of their lives. She especially loved attending her grandchildren's dance recitals, ballgames, band concerts and marching band performances, and she never missed a chance to cheer them on.

Paula enjoyed road-trip vacations, kayaking in Florida, working in her yard and watching her hummingbirds. After retirement, one of the greatest blessings in her life was becoming part of the Minerva YMCA community, where she formed friendships that quickly became family. She loved playing pickleball, attending bingo and spending time with friends. Paula will always be remembered for her kindness, thoughtfulness and the genuine love she showed to everyone around her.

She is survived by her daughter, Molly Moser (Russ), and grandchildren Landen, Aiden and Sophia; her son, Charles Brown III, and granddaughters Claire and Cameron; her brothers, John Witts (Jean) and Gary Witts; and her sister, Debbie Greathouse (Tom).

Paula considered the family of her longtime companion, Roland Walters, to be part of her own family, including Steve Walters (Jill) and grandchildren Shane and Erin; Karla Bolanz (Mark) and grandchildren Grace, Charlie and Kelly; and Johnny Schmidt and granddaughter Casey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Frances Witts; her longtime companion, Roland Walters; sister-in-law Cassandra Witts; Pat Walters; and her beloved dog, Tank.

Paula's family would like to thank the family, friends and neighbors who supported and loved her throughout her journey. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, love and devotion to family that will never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, Paula requested that donations be made to Local Hope, The Jackie Davison Foundation, an organization close to her heart. Contributions may be mailed to 801 Oakwood Drive, Alliance, OH 44601, or sent via Venmo to @JMonea.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
