Pearl Gordon
Pearl Gordon passed away Saturday evening, June 13, after a lingering illness.
He was born in 1942 in Bergholz to the late Pearl and Florence (Martinelli) Gordon.
A former truck driver and heavy equipment operator, he worked at Our Company Road Equipment as a welder and fabricator before starting his own business, Gordon Manufacturing and Repair. After retiring, he worked for Springfield Township near Bergholz until 2021, performing road maintenance and operating equipment. In addition to his outside work, he maintained the family farm.
He will be forever missed by his daughter, Mary Gordon of Louisville, Ohio, of whom he was very proud; his wife of 57 years, the former Mary Grace (Lafferty) Gordon; and his furry friend, Cinders.
Working and repairing things was his hobby, but he most enjoyed spending time with the Mod Rod pulling tractor teams, especially the "Up After 9" tractor gang.
Calling hours were held Wednesday, June 17, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Kerr-Watson Funeral Home in Salineville.
Private services will be held at a later date.
The family thanks all who came to visit him. You made his last days brighter.
