Walter S. Stackhouse
Walter Steven “Steve” Stackhouse, 74, of Cadiz, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Steve was born January 31, 1952, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a son of the late Edward and Mary Sefsick Stackhouse.
Steve retired from Columbus Equipment Company and was a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed hunting, and was a member of the NRA, NWTF and Buck Master’s. He was also a member of the operating engineers and the Fairpoint Polish Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his son, Steven Stackhouse; his brother, Richard “Rick” Stackhouse; his niece, Lacey Stackhouse and his sister-in-law, Glendean Stackhouse.
Surviving are his brothers: Larry (Diane) Stackhouse of Wintersville, Jerry (Joyce) Stackhouse of Cadiz, Vance Stackhouse of Cadiz and Michael (Charity) Stackhouse of Cannonsburg, Pennsylvania; his sister-in-law, Kathy (Richard) Stackhouse of Cadiz; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Joyce Barr-Peters officiating all at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz. Burial followed at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
