Coshocton Class of 1976 marks reunion
Nearly 100 classmates and guests gathered May 22-23, awarding more than $19,000 in scholarships to seven Coshocton High School seniors
The Coshocton High School Class of 1976 gathered for its 50th class reunion May 22 and 23.
Classmates and guests, numbering almost 100, gathered to celebrate this milestone. Events started May 22 at the CHS graduation for the Class of 2026. Through donations by the Class of 1976, scholarships totaling more than $19,000 were given to seven students.
Following graduation, members of the Class of 1976 met at the Warehouse to start the weekend festivities. On Saturday the group met for a tour of the high school to see the things that have not changed much, like the gym and the pool, but also all the new renovations and security measures.
The class party was held Saturday at Coshocton Village Inn and Suites. Classmates met and mingled and then sat down to a meal provided by Schumaker's with background music from the '70s that lasted all night long.
Names of classmates who had passed away were read, and they were honored with a visual tribute. A slide show brought back memories.
Scholarships from the Class of 1976 were awarded to the following: Mia Shane Lauvray, Graysen Searls, Brayden Grimm, Hannah J. Sensabaugh, Emerson Jackson, Jerison Keith Spain and Elizabeth Layton.
