Coshocton bicycle safety event set for June 9
Free fairgrounds event will offer helmet fittings, child ID cards and lunch for families from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Families across Coshocton County are invited to attend a free bicycle safety event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 9 at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds, 707 Kenilworth Ave.
The event will feature bicycle safety education, free bicycle helmets while supplies last, child ID cards and a free hot dog lunch provided by the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
Free ice cream also will be available, courtesy of Jared’s Ice Cream.
The event is being organized through a partnership that includes the Coshocton Resource Center, Coshocton County Fatherhood Initiative, Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office, Coshocton Public Health and the Coshocton Fire Department.
Organizers say the event is designed to promote bicycle safety awareness and provide families with resources to help children stay safe while riding this summer.
Children attending the event will have the opportunity to receive properly fitted bicycle helmets and learn bicycle safety practices from local agencies and community partners.
The event is free to attend.
