Coshocton County 4-H awards 5 scholarships

Area seniors from River View and Ridgewood high schools were recognized for leadership in 4-H activities

The Coshocton County 4-H Endowment Committee recently awarded scholarships to area seniors who have demonstrated strong leadership in their respective 4-H clubs and in 4-H activities on the county, state and national level.

Nathan Adams from River View High School will attend Ohio State University to pursue a degree in pre-aerospace engineering. He is the son of Ryan Adams and Emily and David Marrison and a member of Mohawk Valley 4-H Club.

Claire Bintz from Ridgewood High School will attend Kent State Tuscarawas to pursue a degree in electrical engineering. She is the daughter of Brian and Stacia Bintz and a member of Blue Ridge 4-H Club.

Layton Massie from River View High School will attend Iowa State University to pursue a degree in agricultural systems and agricultural business. He is the son of Jason and Jennifer Massie and a member of Magic Makers 4-H Club.

Kortnee Mickle from River View High School will attend Mount Vernon Nazarene University to pursue a degree in preschool through fifth grade education and intervention. She is the daughter of Zachary and Keeley Mickle and a member of Superior Livestock 4-H Club.

Wade Thompson from Ridgewood High School will attend Ohio State University ATI to pursue a degree in agriscience and law. He is the son of Tom and Denise Thompson and a member of Extreme Achievers 4-H Club.
