Members learn about nutrition and recognize weekly weight-loss achievements
TOPS 1573 Nashville met May 6 and opened with pledges.
Geneva Pringle was recognized as the best weekly loser and encouraged members to eat fruits and vegetables. Leo Tope was named the best weekly KOPS.
The evening program featured information from the January/February 2026 issue of Consumer Reports using the article "7 Supplements to Consider.” Members discussed the benefits of several supplements, including calcium for bone health, iron for hemoglobin production, magnesium for overall health benefits and vitamin D for calcium absorption. The program also covered multivitamins to help fill nutritional gaps, probiotics to lower inflammation and boost immunity and vitamin C for iron absorption, collagen production and immunity.
TOPS meets Wednesdays at Nashville Methodist Global Church. Weigh-in begins at 5 p.m., followed by the meeting at 5:30 p.m.
