Darius McBride to perform at Prairie Chapel
The Westerville South vocal music director will share special music during the 10:30 a.m. June 14 service in Coshocton
On Sunday, June 14, Darius McBride will share his musical talents during the 10:30 a.m. service at Prairie Chapel Methodist Church.
He attended Malone University in Canton, to pursue a degree in choral/vocal music education, where he graduated in 2016. During his time at Malone, he participated in Malone’s Opera Theatre under the direction of Dr. Cynthia Wolschlager, where he held numerous tenor roles. McBride was part of the University Chorale and Chamber Choir where he served as student conductor from 2013 to 2015, and tenor section leader from 2011 to 2015 under the direction of Dr. David Donelson and Dr. Jon Peterson.
He has run successful choral programs at Kingsway Christian School (Orrville), Fostoria High School, and is currently the Vocal Music Director at Westerville South High School in Westerville. He is also a director of the All Ohio State Fair Youth Choir. McBride has shared his musical talents in numerous churches in Coshocton and Tuscarawas counties.
