This summer in Coshocton County, nearly 260 local students will have the opportunity to attend the Camp Invention program through the commitment of the area’s many community leaders.

Through area organizations’ 2026 financial support, local students will attend Camp Invention this year at three regional locations:

—Coshocton Elementary School, Coshocton, the week of June 1.

—Ridgewood Middle School, West Lafayette, the week of June 8.

—River View Elementary School, Warsaw, the week of June 15.

While the local programs are open to all children, any children living in Coshocton County or attending a Coshocton County school can register at a reduced price of $40. Local program sites also will have a limited number of Leaders-in-Training Scholarships available for seventh grade through ninth grade.

Camp Invention, a summer enrichment program for children entering kindergarten through sixth grade, is a program of the National Inventors Hall of Fame in partnership with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Using hands-on activities, Camp Invention promotes STEM learning and builds confidence, leadership, perseverance, resourcefulness and problem-solving skills.

Through the support of the Coshocton Foundation, which includes the Blessings Fund, Edwin F. Mulligan Endowed Fund, Simpson Family Donor Advised Fund and the Ralph D. & Judy P. Wisenburg Fund, and local organizations including Coshocton Kiwanis Club, Coshocton Rotary Club, Jones Metal Product Co., McWane Ductile and The Montgomery Foundation, along with individual donors, local children continue to have a learning opportunity they could have otherwise missed.

“It’s thrilling to see how our county’s families and business leaders pull together each year to encourage and support students in learning and growing in the STEM disciplines,” said Bob Pell, executive director of the Coshocton Foundation. “The best part of the camp experience is to visit our local sites to see firsthand the impact of invention education and the positive effect it has on young innovators in our community.”

“McWane Ductile is proud to support the efforts of Camp Invention to bring STEM education experiences to inspire our next generation of innovators,” said Heather Rainwater, fabrication operations manager at McWane Ductile. “As a Camp Invention parent for many years, I have seen firsthand how camp is an amazing way to provide high-quality, hands-on and fun programming to kids each summer.”
