Coshocton 4-H camp sign-up ends June 5
Registration is open for the July 5-9 junior camp at 4-H Camp Ohio in Licking County for youth through seventh grade
Youth across Coshocton County are invited to experience a summer of adventure, friendship, and learning as registration is now open for the 2026 Coshocton County 4-H Junior Camp. Families are encouraged to sign up by Friday, June 5, by visiting go.osu.edu/coshcamp26
The popular five-day camp will take place July 5–9, at 4-H Camp Ohio, a scenic facility nestled in the rolling hills of Licking County. Camp offers youth the opportunity to step away from everyday routines and immerse themselves in a fun, supportive outdoor environment focused on personal growth and new experiences.
4-H Camp is open to any youth age 8 and in the third grade as of Jan. 1 of the camp year through those completing seventh grade. Both 4-H members and non-members are welcome, making camp an inclusive experience for all youth interested in discovering new interests and building lifelong memories.
The cost to attend camp is $155 per camper, which covers meals, lodging, insurance, crafts, snacks, and a group photo.
Campers will enjoy a wide range of engaging and exciting activities throughout the week. Favorite options include:
— Archery, riflery, and trapshooting
— Swimming, canoeing, and fishing
— Hiking, creeking, and campfires
— Zip lining, climbing, and high ropes challenges
— Crafts, skits, dancing, and cookouts
Special programs such as the Adventure Tower and High Ropes Course allow campers to challenge themselves physically and mentally, while the Living History program offers hands-on experiences exploring Amish life, pioneer living, and Native American culture.
Campers also participate in team-building activities like the Team Challenge Course, which helps develop communication, cooperation, and problem-solving skills in a fun, supportive setting.
4-H Camp is designed to help youth grow into confident, capable individuals. While at camp, participants will:
— Learn new skills and discover new interests
— Build independence through decision-making
— Develop teamwork and communication skills
— Strengthen friendships and social connections
— Gain a deeper appreciation for nature and the outdoors
Camping experiences also encourage responsibility and leadership while giving youth the chance to learn and grow in a safe, supervised environment with trained staff and a full-time nurse on site.
Spaces fill quickly, so families are encouraged to complete registration before the June 5 deadline. To sign up or learn more, visit: go.osu.edu/coshcamp26.
