Military support group to meet March 3 for Easter packing

The group thanked community members for continued support

The program provides service members with care packages filled with essential toiletry items and snack foods.

The Harrison County Military Support Group will meet at 4 p.m. March 3 at the Harrison County Senior Center in Cadiz for its Easter packing project.

The group thanked community members for continued support, including volunteers, donors, helpers, the senior center and the Harrison News-Herald.

“We really appreciate all of our community, volunteers, donations, helpers, the senior center and the Harrison News Herald. Without you all we could not keep doing this project,” the group said. “Our soldiers are grateful and we are very grateful for them and the sacrifices they make.”

Donations are welcome. Requested items include Pop-Tarts, ChapStick, toothbrushes, toothpaste, puzzle books, mechanical pencils, instant coffee packets, hot chocolate mix, cider mix, drink mixes, mints, candy bars, hard candy, peanut butter, protein bars, gum, nuts, Rice Krispie treats, homemade cookies, dried fruit and Easter candy.

“Take care of each other and remember together we can accomplish a lot,” the group said.

Harrison County Senior Center is located at 122 S Main St, Cadiz.
