Amateur Radio Club to host Field Day at Friendship Park
Visitors can experience making contacts by amateur radio using voice or data transmissions

The Steubenville-Weirton Amateur Radio Club will host its annual American Radio Relay League Field Day event from 2-8 p.m. June 27 at Friendship Park, near Smithfield.
The event will be held at shelters 4 and 5. The public is invited to attend and meet local amateur radio operators as they demonstrate emergency communications during the national event.
Operators will set up antennas, radios and other communications equipment and communicate with other amateur radio operators throughout the United States, Canada and the world.
Visitors can experience making contacts by amateur radio using voice or data transmissions.
