Harrison Central to graduate 125
Leading the Class of 2026 is valedictorian Brady Moss, son of Julie and Woody Moss
Harrison Central will hold commencement services for its 125 graduates May 29.
Leading the Class of 2026 is valedictorian Braden “Brady” Moss, son of Julie and Woody Moss. Moss will attend The Ohio State University to major in chemical engineering.
Moss participated in the College Credit Plus program, completing 44 college credit hours through Kent State University. He also serves as class treasurer.
“This is only the beginning. On May 29, each member of the Class of 2026 will begin to take the next step in our lives, each of us forging our own distinct path into the future. No matter where our journeys lead us, I am confident in the ability of each member of my class to achieve greatness,” Moss said.
The grade-point average for the graduating class is 3.28. Four students have enlisted in the military, 29 are honor graduates and 45 are National Honor Society members.
The class quote, by Michael Scott, is, “I knew exactly what to do…but in much more real sense, I had no idea what to do.”
Jaiden Pelegreen is this year’s salutatorian. She carries a 4.51 grade-point average and is the daughter of Michael and Shannon Pelegreen of Hopedale. She plans to attend The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business to major in economics, with plans to attend law school.
Pelegreen serves as class vice president. She is involved in the community through tutoring, working with the Harrison County Resource Network to support the Steer the Youth in the Right Direction campaign and volunteering at local events.
Both Moss and Pelegreen fondly remembered their involvement with the STEM program and the experiences it provided.
Completing the top 10 for the class are Mercedez Cooper, Nicolette Peeler, Sophie Bland, Keira Kelley, Bryson Kamarec, Chaz Culbertson, Tyler Dolecki and Aubree Hodkinson.
Class officers are Aubree Hodkinson, president; Pelegreen, vice president; Moss, treasurer; and Hunter Fulton, secretary.
