The Cadiz Business Association voted to cancel its Cow Patty Bingo fundraiser scheduled for June 13 due to scheduling conflicts.

The decision was made during the association’s June 10 meeting at the Puskarich Public Library.

Although the event was canceled, members agreed to hold a drawing for tickets that had already been sold. Julie Smith moved to proceed with the drawing, and Joyce Hill seconded the motion. Members also discussed finding or creating an automated board to post winners for future drawings.

The executive board will oversee the drawing and notify the public about the cancellation.

Treasurer Rachel Redish reported a balance of $9,713.16. Members approved the treasurer’s report as well as minutes from the April and May meetings.

Members also shared announcements about upcoming community events, including the Harrison County Fair June 22-27, “Come Talk with the Doc” cancer screenings at 6:30 p.m. June 17 at Vintage Fitness, Blues for a Cure June 27 and the America 250 Celebration July 11 at the Harrison County Courthouse and Sally Buffalo Park.

The association’s next meeting will be held at noon July 8 at Cadiz Country Club and will feature representatives from the Harrison County Cancer Crusaders and Harco Media.

The meeting was called to order by President Brandon Ludwig at 12:10 p.m. and adjourned at 12:45 p.m.
