Jerry D. Swoveland
WARSAW- Jerry Dale “Moose” Swoveland, 59, died Friday, January 16, 2026, at the Ohio’s Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia.
He was born July 8, 1966, in Millersburg to the late Richard W. and Doris Marie (Reed) Swoveland. He started working at Well's Greenhouse, did masonry and excavating work, and was a truck driver for many years. He was an avid mushroom hunter and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Clark Township Baptist Church.
He is survived by his children, Brandy Swoveland (Gavin Smith) of Cleveland, Heather (Steph) Anderson of Coshocton, Jeremy (Stephanie) Savage of Sanford, NC, and Amanda (Travis) Smith of Granville; his grandchildren, Jaycie, Kamryn, Raegan, & Rowan Savage, Kira & Dexter Hepner, Kendrix Wagner, and Quinn Smith; two sisters, Patricia Dille of Warsaw, and Marty (Darren) Shroyer of Coshocton; and several nieces, nephews, & cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kevin Richard Swoveland.A memorial service will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Pastor Dave Kraft officiating. Burial will follow in Blissfield Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
