Flora Cox
Flora Belle “Toots” Cox, 78, of Hopedale, Ohio passed away on March 5, 2024, at the Belmont Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Steubenville, Ohio on October 19, 1945, a daughter of the late Wilbur Edward and Evelyn Louise Case Cox. Flora was a member of the Hopedale Church of Christ. She was a dearly loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, sister and friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Florence Elizabeth, Donald Wilbur and Sandra Lynn. She is survived by her children, Lanna Belle (Tom) Thompson of Hopedale, Robert Todd Walker of Cadiz, Audra B (Pete) Porter of Cadiz, Santi Allen Thompson of Houston, Texas, and Samantha Ann (James) Harris of Prosper, Texas; grandchildren, Brandon Micheal, Geno Ryan, Thasha Shera, Lanny Micheal, Anthony Leigh Gage, and Sadie James; step-granddaughter, Megan; 11 great grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; siblings, David Edward, Ethyl Elena, Karen Francis, Mary Ann, Stella Louise, Debra Jean, Ray Lewis and Amy Lee; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 1-3 and 5-8 at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home. The funeral service was held on Saturday, March 9, 2024,at 10:00am at the funeral home with Dean Blythe officiating. Burial followed at Greenwood Cemetery in Hopedale, Ohio. The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, Illinois 60601.
