Peggy J. Tahyi
Peggy J. Tahyi, 75, of Conesville passed away on October 10, 2025, at Kobacker House in Columbus. She was born on September 30, 1950, in Dover, Ohio, to the late Dale and Maggie (Rippel) Handrich. She was a 1968 graduate of River View High School. After graduation, Peggy began her professional journey as a court reporter — a calling that quickly became her lifelong passion. In 1969, she joined Judge Richard Hixson, beginning a partnership that shaped much of her early professional life. Her determination and love for her work led her to open her own firm, Tahyi Video and Court Reporting in 1985, where she proudly built a team of ten court reporters. Known for her remarkable work ethic and love for her profession, Peggy never truly retired, continuing to work diligently until her final days.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Terry Tahyi, which she married on December 27, 1970; children, Troy Tahyi and Stefanie (Dustin) Brannon; grandchildren, Nicholas (Destiny) Tahyi, Peyton (Carter Andreozzi) Tahyi, Natalie (Bryan Stalter) May, Grayce (Kade) Barnett and Beau Brannon; great grandchildren, Benjamin and Luca as well as sister, Linda (Ralph) Hollingsworth and nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her in laws, Fred and Velma Tahyi. A cremation will take place with the Miller Funeral Home and Crematory. An online memorial can be viewed at www.themillerfuneralhome.com.
