Donald L. “Bud” Steinmetz, 87, of Carrollton, passed away Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025.

He was born Oct. 24, 1938, in Amsterdam, Ohio, a son of the late Theodore and Mary (Tinlin) Steinmetz.

He retired from Republic Storage after 42 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Steinmetz; an infant daughter, Carrie Steinmetz; and his sister, Evelyn Franks.

He is survived by five daughters, Tammy (James) Bennett, Laurie (Teddy) Stephens, Cindy (Chuck) Shuman, Connie Cheuvront and Cathy Steinmetz; two sisters, Jeanette Mehalik and Vi Williamson; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday, Dec. 5, at 11 a.m. in Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Sandy Valley Cemetery.

Visitation was Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
