Catherine "Kitty" Hoffman
Catherine “Kitty” Hoffman, age 80, of West Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. She was born on February 22, 1945, in Coshocton, to the late Dayne and Jean (Holdsworth) Newell. Kitty was a 1963 graduate of Coshocton High School and then married Dick Hoffman on December 19, 1965. Together, they owned and operated Hoffman Auto Salvage. She enjoyed traveling, racing, and anything with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her twins, Rick (Laura) Hoffman of Fresno and Ritchie Ann Hall of West Lafayette; four grandchildren, Bryce and Brenna Hoffman, and Blaine and Ben Hall; and special Aunts Peggy Mikesell and Mary Louise Newell.Along with her parents, Kitty is preceded in death by her husband, Dick, who passed away in 2018, special Aunt, Pat Crown and her son-in-law, Dean Hall. A graveside service was held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette with Rev. Mark Unrue officiating. Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family. The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ohio’s Hospice or a charity of choice.An online memorial can be viewed at
