Mary Hill

Mary Hill, 92, passed away peacefully Feb. 13, 2026. She was born June 23, 1933.

Mary was the heart of her family — the reason gatherings happened and memories were made. If there was a holiday, Mary was cooking. If someone needed a ride, an errand or help getting to an appointment, she was there. She quietly and faithfully put others first.

An adventurous spirit, Mary traveled throughout the United States, visiting every state. She was an avid reader and a lover of music and found joy in her garden and in the laughter of her grandchildren. Her basement ceramics studio became a place of creativity and connection for many women over the years, another way she built community through kindness.

Mary had a gift for giving, often finding unexpected treasures — frequently from QVC — gifts you didn’t know you needed until you couldn’t live without them. She loved holidays, especially Valentine’s Day, when every dish on the table was proudly red.

Though limited mobility and dementia slowed her in recent years, her smile returned whenever church music played, reflecting the love and faith that never left her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Hill, and her son, Jerry Hill.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Karen Ledford, and son-in-law Randy; her son, Randy Hill, and daughter-in-law Teresa; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Traditions Hospice.

In Mary’s honor, hug your elders.
