Milo E. Pipes
Milo “Gene” E. Pipes, 92, of Fresno went to be with Jesus on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Union Hospital in Dover, Ohio. Gene was born in Akron, Ohio on February 12, 1934, to the late Clarence Pipes and Edna (Nicholson) Smith.
In 1977 Gene married Betty (McDaniel) Pipes and they have lived in Fresno, Ohio for 43 years together. He worked various jobs as a jailer in Akron and truck driver before retiring from the Coshocton County Commissioners Office maintenance department.
He enjoyed working outside, mowing his lawn, brush hogging, and took pride in keeping his property well kept. He also enjoyed woodworking and crafting with Betty.
Gene is survived by his daughter, DeAnna Pipes of Phoenix, Arizona; stepdaughters Debbie (Gary) Rantz of Fresno and Tammy Meighen of West Lafayette; grandchildren Ryan (Nicole) Rantz of Coshocton, Aaron Meighen of New Albany, Ohio and Shannon Pipes; seven great-grandchildren; sister Mary Lou Watson, and niece Jaye Watson.
Along with his parents and his wife, he is preceded in death by his children Mike, Mark, Chris, and an infant daughter; stepson Patrick McCrackin; and several brothers.
Calling hours were held at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812, on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 4-6:00 p.m. A memorial service began at 6:00 p.m. Pastor Jim Lee officiated.
