Gertrude Miller 83, of Winesburg, Ohio, passed away at Majora Lane on Saturday, January 31, 2026, following complications from heart surgery several weeks prior.
She was born on February 26, 1942, to the late Melvin J. C. and Malinda (Yoder) Yoder. On November 5, 1964, she married Emanuel J. J. Miller who survives.
Gertrude was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. She loved her flowers and enjoyed spending time in Florida during the winter months.
In addition to her husband Emanuel she is survived by her five sons, Ivan (Linda) Miller of Dalton, Edward (Mary) Miller of Dundee, Emanuel Jr. (Carolyn) Miller of the home, Paul (Nettie) Miller of Dundee and David (Loretta) Miller of Dundee; 30 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brothers, Alfred (Edna) Yoder of Apple Creek, Paul (Amanda) Yoder of Fredericksburg, Eli (Verna) Yoder of Millersburg and Raymond (Sara) Yoder of Kentucky; and two sisters, Lydiann (Leroy) Keim of Fredericksburg and Mary (late Joe) Miller of Apple Creek.
Funeral services were held at the home, 8008 TR 662, Dundee, on Tuesday, February 3, at 9:00 a.m. Bishop Vernon Hershberger officiated. Burial followed in the Miller Cemetery located on the family farm. Friends were able to call at the home after 1 p.m. on Sunday and any time on Monday.
