TOPS Nashville recognized weekly and monthly weight loss winners and shared a program highlighting the benefits of proper meal timing and nutrition.

TOPS1573 Nashville met April 29, opening with pledges.

Bonnie Porter was named best weekly loser and encouraged members to watch starches and sweets. Geneva Pringle was recognized as best monthly loser. Leo Tope was the best weekly and monthly KOPS.

Gaye Keller presented a program from The Bargain Hunter by Bobbie Randall titled “Meal timing may matter more.” The program noted weight loss may be supported by starting the day with a heavier meal, followed by a light lunch and a small, nutritious third meal. The first meal should be nutrient-dense with plenty of protein to boost metabolism, while lunch also should include protein. The third meal should be eaten before 7 p.m.

TOPS meets at 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Nashville Methodist Global Church, with weigh-in at 5 p.m.
