Born in Millersburg on June 22, 1952, he was the son of the late Andrew J.A. and Barbara (Yoder) Miller. He married the former Darla Geiser on November 1, 1980.
A retired painter, Abe was an extremely kind-hearted man and a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. Well known for his belly laugh that will be missed, he greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and dogs, but especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Darla, children Dr. Kevin (Charli) Miller of Sugarcreek, Brandon (Amy) Miller of Dundee, and Alisha Oswald of Baltic; five grandchildren Aedan, Lukas, Grady, Parker, and Meadow; siblings Verba Miller, Sarah Miller, Mose (Amy) Miller all of Trail, John Miller of Wilmot, Anna (Alvin) Yoder of Colorado, Mary Miller of Winesburg, Robert (Mary Jane) Miller of Tennessee, and Uri (Kathy) Miller of Kansas; and sister-in-law Liz Miller of Millersburg.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Andy Miller, and Edward Miller, and son-in-law Drew Oswald.
Services for Abe were held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the New Leaf Church. Pastors Myron Troyer and Joe Weaver officiated. Burial took place in Westlawn Cemetery in Winesburg. Friends were able to call at the New Leaf Church (formerly Longenecker) at 2200 Township Road 606, Dundee, OH 44624 on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
The family requests that donations in Abe's memory be made to Ohio's Hospice Truman House at 716 Commercial Ave. SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
