Janet L. Ashman, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Along with her parents, she was proceeded in death by her precious son Scott R. Meek and husband of 25 years Jack Ashman.

Here to carry on her spirit of joy and kindness are her children Harry R. (Omaida) Meek II and daughter Michele A. (Phil) VanDyke, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, sisters Joanna (Richard) Kimberely and Sara Wright, as well as her many friends.

While Coshocton was her hometown, she enjoyed raising her children in Marysville, Ohio. In Marysville, she held many roles working in the school system and enjoyed playing bridge, golfing, bowling, and skiing.

Jack and Janet moved to the Olympic Mountain range in Sequim, Washington following their wedding, where they enjoyed many years of golfing, hosting parties with their special friends, many cruises throughout the Caribbean and their annual salmon fishing trip in Canada.

They returned to Coshocton to be closer to family, and she was an active and devoted member of the Coshocton Presbyterian Church. She found great joy in fellowship, service, and worship, as faith was a guiding light throughout her life.

To celebrate the life beautifully lived by Janet, a memorial service will take place March 13, 2026, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at the Coshocton Presbyterian Church, 142 N 4th Street, Coshocton, OH 43812. Light refreshments will be served at the church following the service.
