Sara K. Amos

Sara K. Amos, 84, passed away Aug. 12, 2025, at The Inn at University Village in Massillon.

A daughter of the late Clyde and Sara Secrist Kretzinger, she was born Aug. 30, 1940, in Canton, Ohio.

She is survived by four sons, David (Lori) Wood of Sandyville, Jonathan Wood of Malvern, Robert H. (Lynda) Amos Jr. of Texas, and Richard H. Amos of Mechanicstown; four daughters, Barbara (Lance) Bloomfield of Pataskala, Elaine (Jim) Painting of Carrollton, Renee Heinzman of Carrollton, and Neva (Michael) Wilson of East Canton; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a niece, Bonnie Collins.

Sara was a member of the Carroll County Genealogical Society.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Amos Sr., in 2014, and a brother, Danny Kay (Clyde Kretzinger Jr.).

Funeral services for Sara were held Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, at 11 a.m. in Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton with the Rev. James W. Painting officiating.

Burial followed in Kilgore Cemetery.

Visitation was Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services in the funeral home.
