Sallie Mae Schreffler, 96, of Malvern, passed away peacefully at the home of her son on Dec. 1, 2025.
She was born July 10, 1929, in Muskingum County to the late Clyde and Ada (Knox) Anderson of Zanesville, Ohio. Her parents were tenant farmers who moved from farm to farm to get them in working condition, which was hard work for a family of eight children.
Sallie met and later married her husband, Donald “Herb” Schreffler, on July 10, 1950. She was a homemaker and also cleaned houses. Sallie was a member of Carrollton Baptist Temple.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Schreffler, in 2000; infant son, Gregory Schreffler; siblings Clyde (June) Anderson in 1970, George (Vera) Anderson in 2008, John (Barb) Anderson in 1992, Edgar (Miriam) Anderson in 2014, Joseph Anderson in 1991, Clara (James) Parsons in 2019, and Mary Snyder in 2023; and stepdaughter, Dorothy Wukotich.
Survivors include her sons, Donald Schreffler and Harland (Lori) Schreffler; seven grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, at 1 p.m. in Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home.

Interment followed in Sandy Valley Cemetery.
Calling hours were two hours before the service, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the funeral home.
