Paul B. Finnicum
Paul Bruce Finnicum, 82, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025, in hospice care at Cleveland Clinic in Cuyahoga County after a battle with cancer.
He was born Nov. 24, 1942, in Monroe Township, Carroll County, Ohio, to the late Paul C. Finnicum and Marguerite A. (Mitten) Finnicum.
Growing up on a farm, he loved riding horses.
He graduated in 1960 from Carrollton High School, then worked for Reed’s Sunoco Station in Minerva and later for TRW and retired after 39 years at PCC Airfoils in Minerva.
On Sept. 14, 1963, he married Sara A. (Flinn), who survives, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, and they spent 62 years of marriage together.
He and Sara traveled to 48 of the 50 states over the years in their RVs and spent much time in Amish Country in Holmes County in their later years.
Also surviving are a daughter, Becky (Doug) Gorsuch; grandson, Zac (Kayla) Gorsuch of Wichita, Kansas; step-grandson, Tucker Conner; great-granddaughter, Eliana Gorsuch; sister-in-law, Linda Flinn of Strongsville; and several cousins.
Visitation was held Monday, Sept. 22, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Dodds Funeral Home in Carrollton.
A private burial took place in Leavittsville Cemetery.
