Larry V. Hawk Sr.
Larry V. Hawk Sr., 87, of Minerva, passed away Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, in the Hennis Care Center of Bolivar. He was born Oct. 22, 1938, in New Philadelphia to Ralph and Nita (Beitzel) Hawk. He was the owner of D&I Industries. He was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church, Augusta Lodge 504 F&AM, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite, Valley of Canton, and the Farm Bureau.
He is survived by a daughter, Vicki Howlett of Cuyahoga Falls; son, Tim (Val) Hawk of Minerva; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Hawk of Minerva; brother, Doyle (June) Hawk of Minerva; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson; as well as his wife, Susan (Roseberry) Hawk, and her four children, six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Cogan) Hawk, in 2014; three sons, Larry Jr., Russell and Bruce Hawk; his sister, Francis Hawk; and a brother, John Hawk.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 11 a.m. in Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Dale Fincher officiating. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. in Augusta Cemetery with Chaplain Terry Wilcox officiating. Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at gotschallfuneralhome.com.
