John C. Beadnell
John C. Beadnell, 69, of Salineville, passed away Nov. 13, 2025, from a tragic accident while hunting, one of his life’s passions.
He was born April 9, 1956, in Canton, the son of John Beadnell and the late Mary (Nicholson) Beadnell.
John was a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather, and an avid hunter and fisherman.
A lifelong resident of Salineville, John graduated from Southern Local High School in 1974 and retired from Sterling Mining Corporation. He was a faithful member of Wintersville Methodist Church and enjoyed attending Sunday services with his family.
More than anything, John loved his family and was happiest when everyone was together. He made countless memories with his sons and grandsons while hunting and fishing, cheering for his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, and camping with his wife, Jayne. They truly loved living life together on their farm.
John is survived by his loving wife, Jayne, whom he married July 22, 1988, and with whom he shared 37 happy years; five children, Jennifer (Grant) Board, Jason Beadnell, Kara (John) Hanely, Kerrie (Cheryl) Esancy, and Josh (Kylie) Beadnell; his father, John Beadnell; two brothers, Will (Deanna) Beadnell and Ray (Lynn) Beadnell; and nine grandchildren, Grady, Hope, Annie, Journey, Levi, Easton, Sawyer, Matthew, and Holden.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary (Nicholson) Beadnell; his parents-in-law, Maurice and Helen Dunn; sisters-in-law, Diane Moreira and Janet Miller; and two grandchildren, Jayden Beadnell and Wyatt Hanely.
A short service followed by a celebration of John’s life was held Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. at The Center for Hope/Wintersville Methodist Church, 702 Main St., with Pastor Clint Quillen officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to the American Cancer Society at www.donate.cancer.org.
The Kerr Watson Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
