Geraldine Maley

Geraldine M. (Frase) Maley, 93, of Dover and a former Dellroy-area resident, passed away Sunday evening, Nov. 16, 2025, in Park Village Health Care Center at Dover, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Sept. 9, 1932, in Augusta, the daughter of the late William E. and Vera E. (Rindchen) Frase.

She married Pastor John T. Maley on Nov. 22, 1952. She served as a pastor’s wife and followed him to the mission field in the Philippines. She loved singing and spending time with those in local nursing homes. She was a true Proverbs 31 wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She wanted everyone to know about her faith in Jesus Christ, her Savior. Ephesians 2:8–9 (KJV): “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years and her two sisters, Mary Ellen Wolford and Ruth Yoder.

She is survived by her three children, Suzan (David) Palmer of Dover, Tom Maley of New Philadelphia and Charity (Vince) Mizell of Moulton, Alabama; her four grandchildren, Melissa (Greg) Riegsecker of Stow, Matthew (Nina) Palmer of Dallas, Alicia (Craig) Earley of Germantown, Tennessee, and Jessica (Michael) Blanchard of Nashville, Tennessee; 10 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Henry (Betty) Frase, David Frase and William (Beverly) Frase.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Park Village for their kindness and excellent care, as well as hospice for their support and guidance.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, at Baxter’s Ridge Cemetery near New Harrisburg with her son, Tom Maley Jr., officiating.

Interment will follow. No public calling hours will be observed.
