Dorothy Marie Leishman
Dorothy Marie Leishman of Salineville died Dec. 11, 2025, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio.
She was born Aug. 5, 1947, in Kilgore, Ohio, a daughter of the late Robert Roof and Faye Gotschall Roof.
Having lived all her life in the area, Dorothy was a 1965 graduate of Carrollton High School. She worked as a meat cutter at the Carrollton Locker, bartended at the American Legion in Salineville and the VFW in Carrollton, and was a finisher for many years at Sterling China in Wellsville.
Dorothy played in local softball leagues and was on the bowling team Leishman and Kids Trucking. Most of all, she loved her years of traveling the United States by motorcycle with her husband, Charles, and their many friends.
She is survived by her husband, Charles W. Leishman, whom she married July 20, 1967; a daughter, Terri (Chuck) Johnson of Salineville; three sons, William (Diana) Leishman of Carrollton, Tim (Lisa) Leishman of Mechanicstown and Matthew Leishman of Salineville; one brother; two sisters; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025, at Kerr Watson Funeral Home in Salineville, with Pastor Linda Baker officiating.
