Donna J. Tucker, 87, of Augusta, passed away Monday, Aug. 4, 2025, at the Minerva Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Augusta, Ohio, on May 22, 1938, to Thomas Lafayette and Naomi (Wirebaugh) Kinsey.
She retired in 1992 as the postmaster for the Augusta Post Office after 36 years of service. She was an elder and longtime member of the Stillfork Presbyterian Church in Augusta. She graduated from Augusta High School in 1956.
A 65-year member and Shining Star of the Carroll Chapter #315 Order of the Eastern Star, she was a 14-time past worthy matron, 1986 grand representative of Connecticut for Ohio, past president of District #13 Association of Chapters, a member of the National League of Postmasters, and a volunteer at the Carrollton Food Bank for many years.
She and her husband loved to travel, having visited all 50 states.She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Tucker, who died in 2013; sons, Terry and Tim Tucker; brothers, Walt, Jim, Bill, Bob and Ron Kinsey; sister, Sally Simpson; and son-in-law, Steve Bishop.
She is survived by daughters, Rebecca Bishop of Canton, Pamela (Randy) Wickersham of Augusta, Jane (Mike) Rauvola of Minerva, Janet (Randy) Dillon of Augusta, and Debra (Dennis) LyVere of Freeland, Michigan; son, Tom (Amy) Tucker of Wadsworth; daughter-in-law, Patsy Tucker of Louisville; sister, Joan (Dan) Wickersham of Minerva; brother, Don (Kim) Kinsey of North Canton; sisters-in-law, Monica Kinsey of Minerva and Jean Ann Kinsey of Carrollton. Donna was the proud grandmother of 24 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 8, at 10 a.m. at the Stillfork Presbyterian Church in Augusta with the Rev. Ryan Hale officiating. Burial followed at Augusta Cemetery.Calling hours were held Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Stillfork Presbyterian Church, where Eastern Star services were held at 4 p.m. There was an additional visitation one hour prior to the Friday 10 a.m. service.
