William Phillip “Bill” Malone, 82, passed away peacefully March 22, 2026, at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center in Canton.

He was born in Norwalk to the late Phillip H. and Hazel Malone.

Bill’s greatest loves, besides his family, were big-game hunting out West and trap shooting with his friends.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Kathleen “Kathy” Stertzbach Malone; a son, Mark (Katie) Malone; grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, Nicolas, Christopher and Sadye; great-grandchildren, Dawson Jones and Bailey Natchez; sisters, Frances King, Kathy (Paul) Wise and Millie Sue (Ron) Romans; a brother, Denny (Debi) Malone; and a daughter-in-law, Shannon Malone.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Donald L. Malone; a brother, Phillip “Pete” Malone; a sister, Mary King; and a stepsister, Bonnie Smith.

Bill will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 27, 2026, at 3 p.m. at Dodds Funeral Home in Carrollton.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
