Camp NEOSA to offer free summer meals program
The program is open to children who meet income guidelines for reduced-price meals under the National School Lunch Program
Camp NEOSA will participate in the Summer Food Service Program, providing free meals to eligible children during the summer months.
Meals will be available at Camp NEOSA, 5037 Edgewood Road SW, Carrollton, from mid-June through July. Breakfast will be served from 8 to 9:15 a.m., lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., and supper from 5 to 6:15 p.m.
The program is open to children who meet income guidelines for reduced-price meals under the National School Lunch Program. Children from households receiving Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families benefits are automatically eligible.
Program officials said acceptance and participation requirements are the same for all applicants, regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability. No discrimination will occur in the course of meal service.
Individuals with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program information, such as Braille, large print, audiotape or American Sign Language, may contact the agency where they applied for benefits. Those who are deaf, hard of hearing or have speech disabilities may contact the USDA through the Federal Relay Service at 800-877-8339. Program information also may be available in languages other than English.
Anyone wishing to file a discrimination complaint may complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, AD-3027, available online or at any USDA office, or submit a written complaint to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights, 1400 Independence Ave. SW, Washington, DC 20250-9410.
