Wayne L. Troyer
Wayne L. Troyer “Freck Wayne”, 88, of Walnut Creek, Ohio passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, March 20, 2026.
He was born on December 22, 1937, to the late Levi D. and Amanda (Miller) Troyer. On October 31, 1968, he married Barbara Raber who survives.
Wayne was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He worked as a farmer for most of his life and more recently assembled harness parts for N & A Harness.
In addition to his wife Barbara he is survived by his children, Mark (Ruth) Troyer of Millersburg, Roy (Fannie) Troyer of Orrville, Ruth (David) Miller of Mt. Upton, New York, Levi (Carol) Troyer of the home, Norman (Katie Marie) Troyer of Trail, Lydia Mae (Robert) Yoder of Wilmot, Joe (Ina) Troyer of Conneautville, Pennsylvania and Mary (Wayne) Miller of Navarre; 52 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; siblings, Robert (Lizzie) Troyer, Mary Troyer and Fannie Troyer all of Trail; and a sister-in-law, Amanda (late David) Troyer of Trail.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, David, and Roy; a sister, Betty; and a sister-in-law, Edna Troyer.
Funeral services were held at the home, 5691 CR 172, Millersburg, on Sunday, March 22, at 9 a.m., Bishop Ben N. Miller officiated. Burial followed in the Troyer Cemetery located on the family farm. Friends were able to call at the home after 5 p.m. on Friday and any time on Saturday.
